Forticoat is a synergistic blend of free and buffered organic acids. The free acids in Forticoat make the product particularly effective against Gram‐negative bacteria (e.g. E. coli and Salmonella) in drinking water. Moreover, digestion is supported by reducing the stomach pH. The buffered acids used in Forticoat improve microbial balance in the intestines. The overall result of Forticoat is a positive effect on gut health and performance. Forticoat is a highly buffered product and therefore not corrosive, it can be applied in iron drinking water systems for a fixed period of time.
